ALL THINGS SOCIAL

SOCIAL MEDIA PLANS

Social media is absolutely key in the majority of businesses these days. The thought process is, if you're not on any socials you either don't exist, or you're a scam artist! It's sad, but this is the thought process of the average person, particularly with B2C (business to consumer) companies.

But that's not just it. The importance of having regular posts on your socials also includes;

Search Engine Optimisation (being found on Google)

It's not just the general public that thinks you're fake if you don't have socials - it's Google too!

Exposure

When anyone likes your post, it will get pushed into other's newsfeeds, and next thing you know another 30+ people have visibility of your posts/business.

Credibility

Not only do members of the public now think your business is real, but sharing testimonials, demonstrations of your work, industry facts and figures all encourages your potential customer to take you seriously.

They know you're open for business!

As silly as it sounds, if I see a company hasn't posted for months I instantly wonder if they've closed down. If I think that, I know I'm not the only one.

HOW DO SOCIAL MEDIA PLANS WORK?

You send me over any images/videos/interesting facts you have about your business, I do some research on your industry and I put together a plan of posts your potential and current customers will find interesting/engaging.

DON'T HAVE ANY IMAGES?

No problem, I can access stock images which can be used to make your perfect plan, without any images from you.

One of my clients, Johnstone Mortgages, had exactly this dilemma, but as you can see from the image, I was able to create a premium feel social media plan but with only stock images.

I can then schedule these in for you so that you don't need to do anything. The posts will appear as and when we've agreed, meaning you don't have to remember to post them while you're busy doing what you do best!

SOCIAL MEDIA ADVERTISING

(PAID FOR / SPONSORED ADVERTS)

Ever noticed a post pop-up that says 'sponsored' underneath?
This means that a company has paid to promote their business into your newsfeed.

Even with small budgets, you can get a huge reach. You could pay £100 for an advert in a magazine with no exact number of people viewing it, or their demographic.

With social media, you can be as specific as targeting men whose wives have a birthday in the next week - perfect for a florist, for example.

Being able to target exactly who you want can give you fantastic benefits and a huge return on your investment, far more than some traditional marketing.
